My baby is 2!

Well, almost 2! He will be tomorrow. But tomorrow is jam packed full of happy goodness. Odd, just typing the title..."My baby is 2" chokes me up! I LOVE IT! The best feeling ever! There were times (too many of them) that we thought we would never see his 1st birthday...and now here we are celebrating his 2nd! He is so healthy, and happy, and full of energy, and into everything. He is such a typical 2 year old! In the last 2 years he has been to the ER 7 times. Flown to Seattle Children's 3 times. Had 4 surgeries. Those days are BEHIND us now! Audios, see ya...well NEVER AGAIN!! He's a giggly little boy with a mouth full of teeth! He grunts like a little caveman when he wants something, and squawks as loud as he can when he's excited. Usually chasing Gracie around the house with hopes of pulling her hair. The movie Happy Feet mesmerizes him. He loves to be sung to, and loves to play with musical instruments. I love to sit and think about what his future is going to be like. I have such high hopes for him. He's amazing and deserves everything he could ever dream up. I will teach him to dream big!

Tomorrow is not only his birthday, but it is also the Buddy Walk. How cool is that? Couldn't be any more perfect! Then we have another birthday party to go to in the afternoon! Sunday, we will celebrate his Mini Monster birthday bash! He has lots of friends coming over for pizza, cup cakes & a bouncy house!! It's sure to be a good time!!

Happy Birthday my little Bubba! I love you so much!!

I'm shameless...I know!!

A little of what we have been up to...

This post is going to be a whole lot of random-ness. Not a word, I know, but I like it. So, I'll start with this...

My co-pilot on a crazy busy day of running around!

**WARNING** Pictures are less than, hmmm, well, great. Until a new camera makes it's way into our house (thank you Jake), you all get Iphone pics! Moving on...

So, what have we been up to? Hmm, well...for starters, the Seahawks are back in action! I'm not going to pretend that I'm "that" girl that LOVES football & knows all things football. I'm not! But I do LOVE the fall season. And with the fall season, comes football. I also don't mind watching Matt Hasselbeck. He's pretty easy on the eyes. Speaking of eyes, I'm pretty sure my husband is rolling his right now (or as soon as he reads this). We are a Seahawk family. Gracie isn't really sure why she HAS to wear these "bird" shirts every Sunday, but she's cool with it! Especially since she got a new one!!

Gracie's "Game day face"! Pretty tough...with her monkey, right?!

On all the other days that the Hawks are not on...I've been working on Nicole's 18th birthday party decorations. Here are a few pics of some of the stuff I did...

I wish I could take credit for this FABULOUS cake...but I can't! I can only take credit for finding the woman who made this little piece of heaven. Did I mention it was FABULOUS?! I have NEVER eaten chocolate cake like that before. Thank you Kym!

OH MY GOSH...I almost forgot to tell the world...
Momma Stewart had her twins on Monday morning!! Well, I guess that deserves it's own blog post!! As soon as I get my hands on those beautiful little babies (and snap a few pics) I'll be fill ya in a little more!! But until then...
CONGRATULATIONS STEWART FAMILY!!
Now I must go, Buddy Walk buttons to make & Jake's birthday decorations to finish! No time to rest (or blog) in this house!!

Hi all!! I am still here...physically, mentally I am decorating for 2 birthday parties, getting ready for my 1st Buddy walk (have been out of town in the years past), and can't wait to leave for my girls weekend. I have lots of exciting things to share in the next few weeks, so keep checking back! But for right now, I'm one tired momma!

The time came...

Zach & I have been married for 7 years today! See...(pictures of pictures...sorry). So young, so...skinny! Gotta love that pre wedding diet!

I am truly in ah that I found this amazing person to share my life with. I couldn't have asked for a better husband.

We have so much fun together...still. We have found a happy balance of doing "family" things, "Julie time", "Zach time", and date nights. It works...for us. This life isn't for everyone, but for us, it works. Easily.

But I do have to say, I never thought the day would come...where we (I) made home made anniversary cards! LOL, our marriage means the world to me, but the tradition of having a romantic evening together & exchanging gifts...well, it has lost it's luster over these past few years! I don't know...call it kids, call it a change in priorities...call it what you want. But for us, it works. Not that we ditched the day all together, we just postponed it! In late October we are going to go to a Seahawks game together!! Nothing says romantic anniversary like a roaring crowd of beer guzzling football fans to say I LOVE YOU!! But for us, it works! Here is my home made card. It's simple (like us). The first thing Zach noticed about it, "You Bedazzled it...it's just me ya know". I had to laugh.

Ahh, my girl...

It was a proud moment in the Gould house last night...Gracie asked if she could have baby Cricut!! And she LOVED it! She made Grandma & Grandpa a Grandparent's Day card with it!!

Zach was pretty sure she was going to be his hunting partner...I'm pretty sure he's wrong! MY GIRL LOVES TO CRAFT!!

I'm a proud new momma...

My little baby Cricut multiplied...and got BIGGER!! Yahhh (jumping up and down clapping like a little school girl)!! Sometimes (sometimes), my husband DOES listen to me when I talk, & point out pictures of things in Craft Warehouse adds that I will "some day have"! Yahhhh!!

Happy Anniversary...to me!! Guess I better get on the ball and figure out something super cool to get the hubby!!

Happy Fall!!

It's that time of year! Our family calender looks like this...

Which means I need this...

My handy little dry erase board on the wall...right in the middle of the house!

Gracie started her 1st day of Pre K yesterday. This is her 2nd year of preschool, but this year the focus is to really get them ready for Kindergarten.

A few of her friends from last year!

She had a really good day!

Jake is heading back to "school" too! He has physical therapy 1 time a week for 45 minutes, and speech therapy 1 time a week for a half hour, and time with his teacher 1 time a week for 45 minutes. He is also in a group called Play to Learn (it's pretty much what it sounds like, play time with a little education built in). He also goes to a Feeding group 1 time a week (or as often as we can make it). No worries friends...he has NO problems eating...anything! He is their "model feeder"! LOL! Here are a few of Jake's "back to school" pictures!

Who had surgery?

We are not sure anyone really had any kind of surgery. Jake certainly doesn't seem to think he did! If you came to our house (especially at a meal time), you would never believe Jake just had his tonsils and adenoids out. You would never know that he had to be re ventilated because he couldn't breath on his own after surgery because of swelling issues. And you would really NEVER believe all this happened 2 days ago! Jake led us to believe that his recovery was going to take longer than we had expected, because he had no interest in eating anything soft and/or mushy. And would have nothing to do with a bottle! What he was really trying to tell us was, "I'm a big boy now...I don't use bottles, only sippy cups". "And soft, mushy foods are for surgical amateurs". He prefers cheesy poofs, cereal bars, rice, and noodles right after surgery. Maybe even some tater tots in the car on the way home! Ahhggg, what are we going to do with this kid?! He's too funny. So today he acted like it's...well...Wednesday. He ate his breakfast of toast & jam, chased his sister around and pulled her hair. Took a MONSTER nap, only to wake up and eat more hard, crunchy stuff. And now...well this...

He dances to Happy Feet...

Took a little break from dancing, to drool...

Then Wrestle Mania started...

And the Zurburs...
Gracie tried to color...

Jake pretended to be watching his movie...

But when she wasn't looking, Bubs messed with her!

Gracie talked on her banana phone. I would explain, but I'm not sure why she does it!
Then they pose for pictures...

Gracie gets a kick on setting the timer on the camera. She thinks we have a "magic camera"!
